Impacted by the theme of Expo Milan 2015, which in that edition dealt mainly with the problems of the food production chain and how it generated waste, Architects Bettina Pansera and Gilmar de Lima returned to Brazil committed to producing debates and research on the theme of Responsible Consumption. With focus on Innovation, Sustainability and Inclusion, they started the activities of the hub, which would later become Mãozinha Verde Sustainability Agency (ASMV).
